Splitting a parent into children: kit each child
You sold one ASIN. Now there is a second size in the warehouse and Amazon wants a variation family. If you duplicate the parent title and change one word, the new child inherits the old count. The Transformation Kit is how you split: one pad per carton, then the family.

Pad the original and the new size before you click create
Open both cartons. Write four facts on each. If the “small” is not the same product as the old parent, it does not belong in this family. Photo of each pad. The parent listing stays on the original pad until the children exist. Do not rewrite the live page to a generic title first.
Create the child from its pad, then attach
New child. Kit title and first bullet from that pad. Title names the size you ship. First bullet is what is in that box. New hero. Run free optimize only if the English still copies the parent. Save. Then parent them. Repeat for the original as a child if Amazon forces a new parent SKU.
Do not receive the new size against the old ASIN “for now”
That is how you mix a family before it exists. You stay responsible for Amazon compliance. When both children match their cartons and the next size is waiting, Pro checkout is the paid path. Paying does not open the second box for you.
No fake reviews. No rank promise. You stay responsible for Amazon compliance.
